The IDF "Depth Corps" ("Depth Headquarters") diagonal flag – a command that coordinates the IDF's long-range operations deep in enemy territory. The command was originally formed in the 1980s, but was scaled down and then planned again in the 2000s. This diagonal flag was seen at the Depth Corps' outgoing commander (Major General Nimrod Aloni) succession ceremony at the IDF Headquarters in Tel Aviv on Sept. 29, 2025.

Unit 9900 (formerly Unit 9700) is in charge of VISINT, Visual Intelligence, which stands for "intelligence obtained from optical collection means: visual observations, observations with various devices from the ground and air, and various photographic means" (source), more precisely visual decoding, precise mapping and satellite imagery. It was established in 1997 although it traces its recent origins to the establishment of Unit 9700 (1976) and its lineage through other Units (like the Nachshon Unit, 1976–2000, and even a map and photography service established in March, 1948).
